Ingredients:

Fresh, fully grown mackerel; oil, Posro’s Recheado Masala Paste, salt

Optional: Semolina (rava, soji); turmeric powder

Method:

  • Clean and slit sides of mackerel
  • Apply a little salt; set aside for 15 minutes
  • Inside the slits, apply to taste, Posro’s Recheado Masala Paste
  • Shallow fry in oil, on both sides
  • Option: dab mackeral in semolina, mixed with a little turmeric powder, just before frying

Serve with: Goa Fish Curry and rice (xit-kodi), or any other fish/ veg/ lentil (dal) based meal.  Or just enjoy plain!
